I was supposed to go to the gym today, but I was very sore from the last two days, so I changed my plans. Instead I went to Canyon Creek Brewing again. Today I learned about IBU's. International Bittering Units. Let me clarify that, I learned that IBU stands for International Bittering Units, and that somehow tells me which beers are more bitter. Canyon Creek puts their IBU's on the list with their beers. I learned that so far I like beers that are under 30 IBU's. I tried the Rattle Snake Shandy today. It was seriously refreshing! Barely bitter to my taste buds. Not sweet. Next time I want to try the Sandy Water Amber and the What the Hell black ale - but that one is high on the ABV scale (Alcohol by Volume). You can see the IBU's and ABV's here on their website, http://www.canyoncreekbrewing.com/. So I'm going to need to get my BFF to go with me and be the designated driver! That is what I learned about beer today!
This is what I was knitting while I was sipping my adult beverages! I made progress on the baby blanket I'm making. You can see the cables taking shape now. I love this yarn! It is sooooo soft and squishy! I made up this pattern and this time I'm writing it down. I am considering offering it on the website as a product. Let me know in the comments if you like this idea. I was thinking of offering it as a free pattern for a limited time.
